Here are the rules for all giveaways and contests hosted by Kara Lockharte either on her website, her newsletter or on her chatbot on Messenger.
- No Purchase or Consideration Necessary to Enter ANY CONTEST OR GIVEAWAY
SHEN'S MAGIC WHEEL - For the Shen's Magic Wheel Game hosted in the Messenger Chatbot, all ebook prizes have no monetary value at the time they are placed in the chatbot as a prize. It is the winner's responsibility to double check the price of the prize before downloading.
NEWSLETTER SURPRISE GIVEAWAYS - For contests based on random drawing of Kara's mailing list, each subscriber is given one entry. Additional entries are given either based on the number of opens and clicks in the newsletter immediately proceeding the giveaway announcement. For example, if a newsletter was sent on January 1, and someone opened and clicked the newsletter, that subscriber would receive 3 entries into the drawing for the January 14 newsletter. A subscriber that opened and did not click, would receive two entries. A subscriber that did not open and did not click would receive one entry.
- Winners are randomly chosen via a random number generator and contacted through an announcement in Kara's monthly newsletter
- All other contests may be entered simply by replying to the newsletter announcing the giveaway or sending an email to kara at karalockharte with the subject line "Contest Entry - Name of the Contest" and including the name of the contest as well as your name and mailing address.
- You have to be 18 years old
- Void Where Prohibited by Law
- Valid email is required
- Prizes maybe substituted at anytime for the equivalent value stated.
- Unless otherwise specified, winners have 3 business days to reply or a new winner will be drawn
- Information may be shared with third parties who are hosting the giveaway or working in collaboration with Kara Lockharte
- Kara Lockharte is not held responsible for third party rules or websites
- Winners are responsible for all fees or additional costs or fees that may be incurred
- Rules may change at anytime
